The location is absolutely superb – it's directly behind Central Mall. You can walk out of the hotel and be on Central Avenue in just 2 minutes. There are parking spaces available right in front of the hotel; just contact the front desk in advance to reserve one. The service was excellent and very thoughtful; every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic. The food was also fantastic. Dinner offered a rich variety of choices, and the afternoon tea was refreshing, delightful, and relaxing. In the evenings, they even served late-night wontons and brought fruit and snacks to the room. The room facilities were complete, and everything was clean, with great soundproofing. I booked a family room, which came with various amenities and toys for children. It was a very satisfying stay, especially the small courtyard – it was so comfortable!"

The hotel lobby is on the 6th floor, while the rooms are located between the 16th and 22nd floors. The elevators are a bit slow and small. "Among hotels in the same price range, this one is truly a winner! The price is affordable, but the service and ambiance are top-notch. The room was much larger than I expected and even had a quiet mini-fridge, which was very convenient. Transportation is also convenient; it's only a 10-minute walk to the subway station. The value for money is off the charts, and I've already recommended it to my friends who are visiting!"

"the hotel was great value for the price and has a few excellent points. Location is easy to get to the airport and ok for the winter attractions. Rooms are nice, though are showing their age. The facilities (gym/pool) we decided to avoid; they don't offer the resort or relaxation of other five star hotels. Food was consistently good and the club lounge is easily one of the best decors I've found. The service was consistently good from checkin especially. I would stay here again if Im in Harbin, but I would stress that I have allergies to try and get a real smoke-free room (our bathroom....)"

"The location is so near food and attractions! Really glad I booked this hotel. You can directly see songhua river and join in the snow and ice carnival! It is also a short 10-15mins walk to the songhua river Bridge, and 2 mins walk to Wanda plaza. I would book here again if I am going harbin again."

The service was thoughtful, and the breakfast was perfect for children. The location was convenient for getting around. Our whole family was very satisfied with our stay!"

"Compared to the cheap, trendy, fast-food standard rooms near Central Street that cost just 600-700 RMB per room, the family rooms here are truly top-notch! And the amenities are on par with many five-star hotels! They'll definitely be my top choice next time I visit!"

Yiyuan Hotel (Harbin Central Avenue Pedestrian Street Zhuozhan) Hotels in Harbin

Yiyuan Hotel (Harbin Central Avenue Pedestrian Street Zhuozhan)

"1. I checked into Yiyuan Hotel on the 26th and booked a room for four days, checking out on the 30th. After check-in, the front desk clerk only gave me the room card. When I went upstairs, I realized I didn't have my ID. I went downstairs to get it from her, and she didn't even apologize. 2. The next day, I was out all day. When I came back at night, my room card wouldn't open the door. I went downstairs to ask the front desk clerk, and she said the card needed to be swiped daily. I booked for four days, so why do I need to swipe it every day? Why didn't they tell me about this daily swipe when I checked in? I was exhausted after a whole day out and had to go back downstairs. 3. I usually don't pay a deposit when booking hotels through Ctrip, but this one charged a 100 deposit. 4. My room wasn't cleaned daily. I had to ask them to clean it, and on the 28th, I had to ask twice before they came. 5. The bathroom fan wasn't working well, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor that wouldn't go away. 6. The room card couldn't be used to operate the elevator. Every time I came back or went downstairs to pick up takeout, I had to ask a staff member to swipe the elevator for me, which was extremely inconvenient. Every time I thanked the staff, but they never responded. 7. The hotel is listed as 'Zhuozhan Branch, Central Avenue' but it's actually three bus stops away from Central Avenue and then a further 900-meter walk. This is purely misleading to customers. I suggest that Ctrip platform strengthen its review process for such listings."

Harbin Central Street Habsburg Hotel (Sofia Church) ★★★★★
"The concierge service in the river view room was superb, even better than a five-star hotel. The breakfast was fantastic, surpassing five-star hotels with an abundance of delicious options. The best part is that breakfast is served until 12 PM, which is perfect for late risers like me. They even had ice cream and Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles! After checking out from the Ritz-Carlton Harbin, I came here. Although the room's hardware is comparable to a budget hotel, the service from everyone at the hotel was consistently excellent. We received a welcome gift before checking in and a souvenir after checking out – how many five-star hotels offer that? This family-friendly hotel is great, the European-style decor is beautiful, and from the river view room, you can actually see the river!"

TRUE GO Hotel (Harbin Central Avenue Songhua River Riverside Road) ★★★★
"I chose the Qiuguo Hotel Central Street branch this time, and the overall experience was fantastic. What really stood out was the consistently attentive and meticulous service, which completely changed my perception of standard hotel service. It's definitely my top recommendation for anyone visiting Harbin! As soon as we arrived, the front desk staff proactively greeted us with a warm and friendly demeanor. Check-in was quick and efficient, with no long waits. The staff patiently and thoroughly explained all the check-in procedures, and even went above and beyond by recommending sightseeing routes around Central Street, must-try local dishes, and offering helpful tips for getting around the city. It was incredibly thoughtful. Their communication throughout was gentle and patient, professional yet approachable, immediately easing any unfamiliarity we felt being in a new place. Service during our stay was even more heartwarming. The housekeeping auntie was exceptionally meticulous, cleaning our room spotless every day. The bed was neatly made, the bathroom was sparkling clean, and the toiletries were perfectly arranged. Every time we met her, she'd greet us warmly and was always kind and approachable. When we needed extra drinking water or disposable amenities midway through our stay, we contacted the front desk and they responded incredibly quickly, delivering everything to our room in no time. They were always on call, fulfilling every request – truly exceptional service. The hotel has staff on duty 24 hours, which provides a great sense of security, and even late-night inquiries were answered patiently. The check-out process was simple and convenient, without any complicated procedures. The staff even offered to help with our luggage, providing attentive and genuine service throughout. Overall, this hotel doesn't rely on lavish decorations to impress, but rather wins you over with its sincere, thoughtful, and meticulous service. All the staff are enthusiastic, polite, professional, and responsible, paying attention to every detail and offering a truly comforting experience. Its location right next to Central Street makes getting around and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Coupled with the perfect service, it offers excellent value for money! I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Harbin, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all fellow travelers!"

"Located in a lively area, with the morning market within walking distance. The room was decent, and the service was excellent. The afternoon tea was a bit less impressive than last year, but after mentioning it to the staff, they quickly brought out more cakes. "The hotel just opened, so all the facilities are brand new. All guest rooms are located on the 16th floor and above, offering expansive views. From the panoramic view rooms, you can open the window and enjoy a full view of the church, which looks like a fairytale world when lit up at night. It's only about a 10-minute walk from Central Street, and right across the street is the Daokou wet market. Given the dry northern climate, they thoughtfully provide humidifiers and air purifiers. The King Koil mattress is perfectly firm yet soft, and the entire room features smart voice control. The automatic curtains and screen-casting TV add a futuristic touch. The bathroom has a dry and wet separation, excellent water pressure, and high-quality toiletries. As for the hotel service, it's absolutely outstanding! 👍👍👍"

JI Hotel (Harbin Central Avenue Sophia Square) ★★★
"This was my first time in Harbin, and I wanted a hotel that was conveniently located for all the attractions and had new facilities. That's why I chose this Hanting Premium hotel. **Location:** It's right next to Central Street, making it super easy to walk to Saint Sophia Cathedral and the river. I loved being able to explore and eat around the area multiple times a day. **Facilities:** The lobby is on the sixth floor, and guest rooms are on the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors. Since it just opened this year, the facilities are brand new. However, there wasn't a strong 'new renovation' smell in the room. I hadn't planned on getting breakfast, intending to find local specialties at nearby markets, but during check-in, I was told about a promotion and added it. The breakfast was decent, but the congee (porridge) was extremely watery, more like rice water. When I asked, they said that's how it is. I'm not sure if that's a Harbin specialty. **Cleanliness:** The cleanliness was pretty good. On the second day, I noticed some areas hadn't been thoroughly cleaned the day before, but they fixed it immediately after I mentioned it. **Service:** The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming."

Tips for Booking Harbin Hotels

Book Ahead for Harbin's Peak Seasons

Harbin can get very busy during the winter months (December–February), especially around the Ice and Snow Festival. Hotels near the Ice and Snow World or Central Harbin fill up quickly, and room prices rise as the event draws closer. It’s wise to book early to secure the best rates.

Plan Around Local Festivals

Harbin hosts several popular events, like the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival (January–February), the Harbin International Beer Festival (July), and the Songhua River Winter Swimming Festival (January). These festivals draw large crowds, so expect higher prices and crowded areas, especially near the venues.

Get More Value from Trip.com Deals

Choose the Right Area to Stay

For easy access to Harbin's attractions, stay near the city centre or Central Street. If you're coming to see the Ice and Snow Festival, choose a hotel closer to the festival site. If you prefer quiet, consider staying in the Sun Island area.
